Job Overview:Key Responsibilities:

In the role of Support Assistant for Special Educational Needs, you will primarily assist students with unique educational requirements within a classroom environment. Your duties will include:

  • Providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
  • Facilitating engagement during lessons.
  • Contributing to a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere.

You will collaborate closely with educators to execute educational strategies and promote the well-being and advancement of all learners.

Essential Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs, along with:

  • Experience in supporting children with SEN.
  • Familiarity with KS1, SEMH, KS2, ASD, and Autism.
Educational Background:

A degree in Education or a related discipline is highly desirable.

Experience Requirements:

Demonstrated experience as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting is crucial.

Skills and Knowledge:

Successful candidates will exhibit:

  • A comprehensive understanding of diverse learning needs and effective support strategies.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • The capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Patience and empathy when engaging with students with SEN.
Preferred Qualifications:

Work Environment:

This position will be based in a school setting, adhering to the academic calendar. The role may require some physical activity, including assisting students with mobility challenges. You will work in close partnership with teaching staff, students, and parents to ensure optimal support for students with SEN.
