We are currently working with a prominent building products distribution company in the North West of England, seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring seamless operations, efficient stock management, and effective transportation management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, team leadership, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse Management: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring all areas are operating in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  2. Stock Management: Implement and maintain accurate stock control systems, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  3. Transportation Management: Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics.
  4. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent performance.
  5. Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  7. Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on warehouse performance, stock levels, and transportation metrics.

Requirements:

  1. Warehouse Management Experience: Proven experience in warehouse management, including team leadership, operations, and logistics.
  2. Transportation Management: Experience in transportation management, including coordination and management of transportation operations.
  3. Inventory Control: Strong understanding of inventory control systems and procedures.
  4. Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  5. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  6. IT Literacy: Proficient in using IT systems, including inventory management software and transportation management systems.
  7. Health and Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
