Job Description

Macklin Care Homes is seeking a skilled Relief Activities Therapist to join their team at Milesian Manor Nursing Home. As a key member of the care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a stimulating and engaging activity program to enhance the quality of life for each resident.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver person-centered activities that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work set hours, flexible to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and a valid work permit.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications (achieved/working towards).
  • Experience of working with elderly residents suffering from dementia.
  • Knowledge of the Care of the Elderly Patients Charter of Rights.
