About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Campaigns Officer to join our team at the London Renters' Union. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our members to develop and implement strategic campaigns that promote renters' rights and challenge the housing system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective campaigns to promote renters' rights and challenge the housing system
  • Work closely with members to understand their needs and develop targeted campaigns to address these issues
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with the union's overall strategy
  • Monitor and analyze campaign progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure maximum impact
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, housing providers, and community groups
Requirements
  • Proven experience in campaign development and implementation, preferably in a housing or social justice context
  • Strong understanding of renters' rights and the housing system in London
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with members, stakeholders, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership-building
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
