Job Title: SCN – Chemical Plant Operator

Reports to: QC Manager / Works Manager

Main Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Plant Operator to manage chemical processes that blend fats and oils with caustic soda, ensuring smooth operation and quality control. This hands-on role requires strong interpersonal skills and offers the potential for career advancement into a shift management position, with broader responsibilities in plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Operation:
  • Start and stop the SCN and all auxiliary equipment, working with both indoor and outdoor machinery.
  • Monitor ingredient tank levels and ensure correct temperature settings.
  • Quality Control:
  • Perform chemical tests at various stages to ensure proper saponification and maintain correct electrolyte values.
  • Test and record the results of the finished product, in line with established procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of computers, math, physics, and chemistry.
  • Ability to work with indoor and outdoor machinery.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
