Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer - Identity Solutions

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at Photon, specializing in Cloud Identity solutions. Your primary responsibility will involve designing, implementing, and expanding systems that facilitate secure and seamless user authentication across multiple platforms and applications.

As a senior engineer, you will collaborate closely with various teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and ensure smooth integration with existing systems and processes. This position requires a strong technical background in GCP services, along with exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop core functionalities of Google's Identity platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Integrate Google's identity solutions with external providers using standards like SAML, OIDC, and OAuth
  • Build robust systems to handle authentication requests efficiently and securely
  • Implement stringent security measures to protect user data
  • Participate in code reviews and suggest improvements
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in identity management protocols
  • Contribute to technical specifications and design decisions
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement timely resolutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • In-depth knowledge of GCP services and best practices
  • Proven experience in building secure and scalable systems
  • Familiarity with identity management protocols like SAML, OIDC, and OAuth
  • Experience with Google Identity and containerization technologies is a plus
  • Strong understanding of security principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
