Position Overview

As a Senior Cross-Platform Mobile Engineer, you will be instrumental in re-architecting our mobile technology stack utilizing Rust, Android/JetPack Compose, and Swift UI. You will take full ownership of projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance user satisfaction. Your drive for innovation will contribute significantly to our Mail and Calendar offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop cross-platform mobile applications for both iOS and Android, utilizing a combination of cross-platform (Rust) and native technologies (Swift, Kotlin).
  • Assume complete ownership of mobile application development projects, adeptly managing project scopes and timelines while distinguishing essential tasks from less critical ones.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation by investigating new technologies and methodologies in mobile development, tackling complex engineering challenges with creativity.
  • Enhance mobile applications for optimal performance, usability, and responsiveness across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Utilize advanced memory management, multithreading, and concurrency techniques to improve application performance and responsiveness.
  • Design applications with scalability in mind, addressing factors such as data caching, network bandwidth, and server load.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach throughout the development process, actively seeking feedback to refine and enhance user experiences.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset for overcoming challenges.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and adapting to the fast-evolving mobile development landscape.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing mobile applications for iOS and Android using Swift, Kotlin, and cross-platform technologies.
  • Proficiency in SwiftUI for iOS and Jetpack Compose for Android, with familiarity in Rust.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of memory management techniques and best practices.
  • Experience with multithreading and concurrency in mobile applications.
  • Awareness of scalability considerations in mobile application engineering.
