Job Title: Site Operating Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operating Technician to join our team at RWE AG. As a Site Operating Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our power generation assets, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and contributing to the delivery of our operational and maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain power generation assets to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Carry out routine duties to ensure plant commercial performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Apply safe systems of work, including Putting People to Work and Authorisation to Work.
  • Perform plant and control system first-line fault diagnosis and reporting.
  • Apply operational, maintenance, and safety systems and documentation for the plant.
  • Plan, organise, and supervise maintenance activities, including contractor supervision.
  • Assist Location Manager and colleagues on projects and outage preparation.
  • General maintenance of plant dependent on individual competence and training.
  • Produce and maintain identified site documentation and procedures.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers.
  • Take advantage of commercial opportunities through flexible plant operation.
  • Provide flexible support to delivery of projects and operational workloads.

Requirements:

  • Competent in all aspects of generating plant operation.
  • Appreciation of commercial aspects of power generation business.
  • Knowledge and experience of power and/or process plant operation or maintenance.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, demonstrates critical behaviours.
  • A high standard of numeracy, written communication skills, and IT literacy.
  • A flexible approach to work patterns, dependent upon seasonal operating requirements.
