About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning and Contract Management Specialist to join our Adult Services team at Cardiff Council. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our commissioning priorities are effectively met through the review and development of professional operating systems and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that social services commissioning priorities are effectively met through the review and development of professional operating systems and standards.
  • Enable and support commissioned providers to achieve compliance with their contractual obligations and service level agreements.
  • Lead on quality assurance and the monitoring of meaningful and sustainable outcomes for the delivery of social care by externally commissioned providers.
  • Be a key contact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and best outcomes are assured for the residents of Cardiff and the Local Authority.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the Council and Social Services priorities.
What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an individual who is committed to delivering exceptional public services in Cardiff and has experience and knowledge of commissioning and effective delivery of services for Adult Services. The post holder will have experience in contract monitoring and performance management, and an understanding of the health and social care commissioning, procurement and legislation.

The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
