Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our Risk Development Team. This position focuses on server-side development utilizing Spring and encompasses the full software development lifecycle, including DevOps practices and tools such as Maven and AWS.

The successful candidate will be part of a team dedicated to delivering pricing, risk, and analytics solutions for credit derivative products. The risk platform is integral for performing margin calculations related to collateral calls, pricing of Credit Index Options, and enabling external simulations for margins by clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain server-side applications using Java, with a strong emphasis on Spring Boot.
  • Demonstrate expertise in enterprise software engineering, particularly in secure and regulated environments.
  • Analyze and implement changes in pricing, risk, and market data stacks, ensuring successful testing and deployment.
  • Understand and apply design and development principles relevant to financial services market infrastructure applications.
  • Adhere to DevOps and CI/CD methodologies to produce high-quality, thoroughly tested software, utilizing frameworks like Jenkins, GitLab, JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
  • Utilize messaging systems such as ActiveMQ or IBM MQ effectively.
  • Employ modern source code management practices using Git.
  • Leverage Java development tools, including Maven and IntelliJ.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with C++ in a Linux environment.
  • Understanding of credit derivative products.
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and EKS.
  • Knowledge of deployment automation tools like Ansible and monitoring solutions such as DataDog.
  • Experience with cloud solutions, including defining infrastructure as code using Terraform.

This is a permanent position with a hybrid working model.
