Job Title: Construction Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Tutor to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a Construction Tutor, you will play a vital role in empowering students to achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and tutoring, with experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, planning engaging activities, and supporting students with their learning.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Teaching specialist subject to KS4 and 5 pupils
  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
  • Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
  • Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
  • Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
  • Possible supervising on lunch and break times
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
  • To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
