Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at ANY-Web Ltd. as a Laboratory Automation Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational functionality of key laboratory instrument platforms to support our clients' scientific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key equipment users, engineering teams, and suppliers to maintain operational laboratory instrument platforms.
  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance regimes for equipment to support customized platforms.
  • Work with scientific teams to optimize system performance through service data insights.
  • Analyze system performance based on error logs, live run interventions, and root-cause analysis to mitigate errors.
  • Develop innovative support solutions that bring value to our clients.
  • Cross-train for wider engineering support within onsite servicing teams.
  • Adopt and champion new technologies to improve response and resolution times for clients.
  • Take ownership of workload, parts inventory, safety, and quality compliance protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of new developments in laboratory automation.
  • Develop CBRE training packages to increase overall system efficiencies through best use and maintenance practices.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendor service organizations.
  • Provide technical mediation in the event of long-running equipment issues involving multiple vendors.
  • Receive external contractors, check H&S documentation, and hand over to end users.

Requirements:

  • Experience in maintaining scientific laboratory instrumentation or automation technologies.
  • Pharmaceutical or regulated working background.
  • Previous experience working in multidisciplinary customer-facing teams.
  • Advanced technical skills in the field of expertise or experience servicing scientific equipment.
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovative solutions.
  • Good understanding of device networking and communications protocols.
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft tools skills.
