Role: Project Engineer - EC&I
Sector: Thermal Energy
Location: Hybrid working arrangement
Contract Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract with potential for extension
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
- Proximity for hybrid work is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the scheduling of work and financial plans to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Manage the complete project lifecycle from initial concept through to final handover.
- Supervise contractor activities to ensure compliance with company standards and safety protocols.
- Assist in defining engineering contract specifications and participate in the tender evaluation process.
- Generate necessary Plant and Process Information (PPI) for ongoing asset support and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to team members across various disciplines.
- Contribute to the preparation of the business capital budget and manage costs effectively.
- Maintain self-sufficiency in finance, procurement, and contract management reporting.
- Understand financial justifications and prepare documentation for senior management review.
- Engage in design, project management, and commissioning of modifications to ensure efficiency.
- Supervise the acceptance and commissioning of equipment, preparing maintenance schedules for optimal operation.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations relevant to the role.
- Support management in achieving key objectives and deliverables.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum HNC in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent.
- CompEx units 1 to 4 certification.
- Knowledge of industry legislation and health and safety regulations.
- Experience with engineering and plant design standards.
- Background in the maintenance and engineering of EC&I systems.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Ability to work independently in a structured project environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective representation of the company.
- Project management training is advantageous.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in high hazard or COMAH environments.
- CompEx unit 12 certification.
- Previous project engineering experience.
