Site Engineer Opportunity at AMP Clean Energy

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join our Industrial Biomass team at our site in Hull. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance on our biomass steam heating systems and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake planned maintenance, attendance, testing, and record keeping to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and industry good practice.
  • Facilitate the biomass fuel supply to the site, receiving deliveries, testing, and recording results.
  • Ensure optimal and continuous operation of mechanical systems by performing routine inspections and maintenance.
  • Monitor feed water and emissions quality.
  • Ensure a high level of health and safety management on site, encouraging a strong health and safety culture and adherence with legislation and Company policies.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical or Engineering educational qualification (C&G, HNC, NVQ or equivalent).
  • HSEQ operator level training (e.g. safety passport/CSCS card), and training on completing site risk assessment/method statements is desirable.
  • Strong engineering background, with either mechanical and/or electrical experience.
  • Experience in working on heat and steam generating plant and equipment within large industrial sites with a continual heat demand and LTHW and steam systems including pumps, valves, hydraulics, controls.

This is a full-time role with an average of 40 paid hours per week (excluding breaks). The site operates 7 days a week (8am to 5pm) and the role will require weekend working, and out of hours on call, on a 21-day shift pattern rotation to respond to heating outages, loss of service or emergencies as required.
