AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Coastal Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our coastal engineering team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our projects and contributing to the success of our clients.

As a Principal Coastal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team to undertake technical design work, managing time and budgets, and working closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. You will also be responsible for adhering to quality assurance standards in design and having experience of coastal structures such as flood defences, sea walls, breakwaters, revetments and beaches to appropriate codes and standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
  • Design experience of coastal structures such as flood defences, sea walls, breakwaters, revetments and beaches to appropriate codes and standards.
