Building Maintenance and Electrical Supervisor

Job Summary

PMR is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance and Electrical Supervisor to join our team at a luxury development in Westminster. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the building's electrical systems, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

Main Responsibilities

  • Electrical Systems Management: Oversee the building's electrical system, including PAT testing and ensuring compliance with prevailing building regulations.
  • IT Competence: Monitor and operate the BMS system, demonstrating proficiency in IT skills.
  • Basic Engineering Knowledge: Facilitate working with in-house boilers, pumps, generators, air conditioning systems, heating, and water systems.
  • System Checks and Compliance: Diarise checks of all building systems and ensure compliance with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Reactive and Proactive Maintenance: Perform maintenance tasks to a Grade 1 Listed Heritage Property as part of a small team.
  • Basic Plumbing: Assist with plumbing tasks as required.
  • Liaison and Supervision: Liaise with and oversee outside specialist contractors, and supervise other members of the maintenance staff.
  • Teamwork and Mentoring: Demonstrate a positive approach to team working and be willing to mentor and supervise other team members.

  • Attention to Detail and Time Management: Carry out work with a high level of accuracy, ensuring attention to detail and effective management of time.
  • Independence and Initiative: Work unsupervised and take initiative when required.
  • Physical Demands: Be capable of moving heavy items and working in a physically demanding role.
  • Task Management: Manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks and duties, both complex and routine.
  • Customer Service: Provide a welcoming and helpful approach when dealing with visitors to the building.
  • Facility Management Experience: Experience in facility management in a similar environment would be an advantage.
  • Teamwork: Be a team player and demonstrate a positive approach to team working.
