Job Title: Apprentice Credit Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our finance team as an Apprentice Credit Controller. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end order to cash process, ensuring timely collection of trade receivables, and maintaining accurate customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debt Collection: Take control of all matters concerning the timely collection of trade receivables, ensuring that customer accounts are reconciled and franchise partners receive a monthly statement of account.
  • Credit Note Management: Recommend Credit Notes where errors have been made in billing and follow through to ensure they are raised in a timely manner and allocated correctly to invoices.
  • Customer Account Management: Ensure that all customer receipts are entered onto the customer accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Debtor Days Management: Manage the achievement of debtor days targets across both customer and franchise partner billing.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce credit control and aged debt reports for management in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a credit control role or function.
  • Skills: Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and a high level of skills in the use of Excel.
  • Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of basic accounting, including double entry bookkeeping, and knowledge of typical daily bank reconciliation processes for BACs and other receipts.
  • Software: Ideally experience of Financial Force accounting system or other SalesForce-based accounting systems.
