The NDT Inspection Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the technical execution of all NDT methodologies in alignment with company protocols.

Core Responsibilities

  • Effectively plan and organize NDT inspection operations, ensuring all inspection tasks are executed proficiently, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure that all NDT personnel are adequately trained and possess the necessary competencies.
  • Oversee and support NDT site teams on a daily basis, fostering effective communication between Bilfinger and the client.
  • Assist in the formulation of inspection proposals, NDT CTRs, and CAPEX requirements.
  • Contribute to the review and updating of NDT technical procedures.
  • Support NDT technical qualification trials.
  • Provide technical assistance for all projects and address client integrity challenges or technical inquiries.
  • Conduct site visits (both onshore and offshore) to supervise, audit, and support onsite NDT delivery.
  • Offer technical guidance regarding the development, validation, and implementation of new technologies, techniques, and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in delivering both conventional and advanced NDT methods for in-service and newly fabricated products.
  • ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in UT, PA & TOFD is required.
  • In-depth understanding of common integrity challenges within the renewables and oil and gas industries.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the benefits and limitations of both conventional and advanced NDT methods.
  • HNC or higher qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in organizing and supervising inspection/NDT work scopes.
  • Professional demeanor, approachable, proactive, and well-organized.
  • High standards of personal authenticity, confidentiality, integrity, and transparency.
  • Strong commercial acumen.

This position is a permanent role within Bilfinger UK Limited, focused on white-collar professionals with a bachelor's degree in operations.
