Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Quality Control Engineer to join our team at Workshop Recruitment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting production equipment and reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Overseeing the non-conformance and change management process to identify and address any quality issues.
- Monitoring build processes and inspecting components throughout manufacturing to ensure they meet contract-specific Inspection and Test Plans (I&TP).
- Supporting instrumentation and equipment calibration activities to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Conducting inspections and assessments using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Inspecting painted components for paint adhesion, thickness, and quality.
- Assessing the quality of welds using visual and basic measuring equipment.
- Reporting on non-conformances to specifications and drawings.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
Requirements:
- A HNC/D or City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant industry experience.
- Experience in Quality Inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment, including Metrology/Calibration/FARO Arm CMM.
- Knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing processes and the ability to evaluate and solve problems.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, certification, client specifications, and standards (API, ISO, PED, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workloads and handle competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
