Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of production equipment and documentation to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Oversee the non-conformance and change management process across the production cycle, from machine shop to package assembly and testing.
  • Monitor build processes and inspect components throughout manufacturing, using contract-specific Inspection and Test Plans (I&TP).
  • Support instrumentation and equipment calibration activities.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments, including using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment.
  • Inspect painted components, including checks on paint adhesion, thickness, and quality.
  • Assess the quality of welds using visual and basic measuring equipment.
  • Report on non-conformances to specifications and drawings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
Requirements:
  • A HNC/D or City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in Quality Inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment, including Metrology/Calibration/FARO Arm CMM.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing processes and the ability to evaluate and solve problems.
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings, certification, client specifications, and standards (API, ISO, PED, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workloads and handle competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
