About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Manchester Mind. As a key member of our Thriving Families Team, you will play a vital role in supporting families where children are open to Child Protection or Child in Need Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with Social Workers and other agencies to provide trauma-informed services to families.
  • Offer a range of support to families in their own homes, via phone or in community settings, including 1:1 psycho-social support and interventions.
  • Provide advocacy, make onward referrals, communicate with health/social care services, and assist people in addressing practical needs.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with whole families and collaboratively with other agencies to improve mental health.
  • Knowledge about various ways to provide emotional and therapeutic support for people.
  • Ability to work in an open and positive way that builds kind relationships and is receptive to and appreciative of the skills and talents of everyone.
