About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD). As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and specialized CBT support to children and young people with complex mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments using a person-centered approach to understand the unique needs of each child.
- Develop tailored care plans and implement evidence-based interventions to address their mental health concerns and promote their overall well-being.
- Work closely with other agencies to support the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Contribute to the multi-disciplinary approach of the team, providing integrated healthcare across CFHD.
- Support service development and improvement, participating in team meetings, engaging in development opportunities, and staying up to date with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Requirements
- A professional qualification at degree level or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, nursing, social work, occupational therapy).
- Professional registration/accreditation with a recognized body (e.g. NMC, HCPC, Social Work England, UKCP, BABCP).
- Substantial experience of managing an extensive and complex caseload and working with children/young people presenting with a range of complex mental health presentations.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment.
