Inquest Specialist Solicitor

Job Summary:

Venn Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inquest Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing inquest proceedings and providing legal advice to NHS Trusts and Local Health Boards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of inquest matters and conduct advocacy on behalf of clients.
  • Liaise with clients, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals to obtain evidence and draft witness statements.
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality training and updates to clients, while assisting the Team Manager and Senior Solicitor to build and expand our services.
  • Advise clients on their legal position and represent them at inquest hearings.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Inquest, Mental Health, and Clinical Negligence law.
  • Ability to work in a minimally supervised position and build on experience gained as a lawyer.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
