About the Role

Burges Salmon is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our leading team of specialist public inquiries, investigations, and inquests lawyers in Bristol. As a Public Inquiries Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile and complex cases, collaborating with our 100+ strong Dispute Resolution department to provide exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver service excellence on client matters, participating in cultural initiatives that underpin life at the firm.
  • Achieve personal objectives, focusing on contributing to the firm's overall aims, and plan, control, and resource matters effectively.
  • Actively contribute to the development of those you have responsibility for, establishing your standing as an expert in your chosen area/sector.
  • Deepen your understanding of client needs and expectations, identifying opportunities to lead CRM activities, build your own network, and cross-refer work where appropriate.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working on large-scale public inquiries (investigation and inquest experience also considered).
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn.
  • Experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer.
