Regulatory Solicitor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our prestigious law firm. The successful candidate will have expertise in HSE inquests and motor crime, and will work alongside a highly regarded Partner in a leading regulatory team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Partner in the regulatory team to handle cases related to Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigations, corporate manslaughter, environmental breaches, and food safety regulations.
  • Review and analyse prosecution evidence, drafting witness statements and critically analysing and summarising client evidence.
  • Liaise with key bodies such as the Coroner's Office, CQC, HSE, Police, and other regulators, instructing experts and preparing defence case statements, sentencing bundles, and mitigation bundles.
  • Attend interviews under caution and conferences with Counsel, assisting in trials and inquests, and preparing detailed follow-up notes on case outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Previous HSE or motor crime legal experience, with a demonstrated interest in regulatory law.
  • Strong critical analysis and client communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously with support from the Partner.
  • Completed at least one training contract seat in regulatory work (for NQs).
