Regulatory Solicitor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our prestigious law firm. The successful candidate will have expertise in HSE inquests and motor crime, and will work alongside a highly regarded Partner in a leading regulatory team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyse prosecution evidence
  • Draft witness statements
  • Critically analyse and summarise client evidence
  • Liaise with key bodies such as the Coroner's Office, CQC, HSE, Police, and other regulators
  • Instruct experts and prepare defence case statements, sentencing bundles, and mitigation bundles
  • Attend interviews under caution and conferences with Counsel
  • Assist in trials and inquests
  • Prepare detailed follow-up notes on case outcomes
Requirements:
  • Previous HSE or motor crime legal experience
  • Demonstrated interest in regulatory law
  • Completed at least one training contract seat in regulatory work (for NQs)
  • Strong critical analysis and client communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously with support from the Partner
