About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Acuity Care Group Limited. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and housekeeping.
  • Support individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and planning.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting empowerment and independence.
  • Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times, adhering to care plans and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals and other team members, maintaining confidentiality and respecting privacy.
  • Aid with light household chores, including cooking and cleaning.
  • Assist with all aspects of daily living, helping individuals build everyday life skills.
  • Join in leisure activities, such as gym workouts, and help plan and organize outings.
  • Support individuals with homework and other educational needs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Full UK driver's license.
