About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Acuity Care Group Limited. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and housekeeping.
- Support individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and planning.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting empowerment and independence.
- Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times, adhering to care plans and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with individuals and other team members, maintaining confidentiality and respecting privacy.
- Aid with light household chores, including cooking and cleaning.
- Assist with all aspects of daily living, helping individuals build everyday life skills.
- Join in leisure activities, such as gym workouts, and help plan and organize outings.
- Support individuals with homework and other educational needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
- Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
- Full UK driver's license.
