Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at HMP Stoke Heath. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with service users, families, and carers to provide evidence-based interventions and plan care for adults with severe mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out risk assessments and risk management with the multidisciplinary team
- Engage with service users in highly distressing or emotional circumstances
- Develop formulations with service users, relatives, and patient records
- Deliver psychologically informed evidence-based interventions to a caseload of male service users
- Work collaboratively with service users and their families to develop care plans
- Attend multidisciplinary reviews for a caseload of service users
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate in Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health)
- Experience of working with people with mental health needs gained through a graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training with significant supervised practice
- Experience running groups/activities
- Experience of analysing and communicating complex information verbally and in writing
