Front End Developer / Software Engineer (TypeScript React)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End Developer / Software Engineer to join our team at a start-up Investment Management firm in Newcastle. As a Front End Developer, you will take ownership of technical projects, designing and developing user interfaces and client dashboards for cutting-edge trading systems technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop user interfaces and client dashboards for trading systems technology
  • Take ownership of technical projects and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality results
  • Stay up-to-date with modern software engineering best practices and emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to leverage new and emerging technology

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science from a Russell Group university, backed by A's at A-level
  • Strong front-end development experience with TypeScript and React
  • Good knowledge of modern software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle
  • Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms
