Job Title: Clinical Cardiac Physiologist Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Cardiac Physiologist Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services in cardiac physiology, including diagnostic testing and reporting, and will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Testing and Reporting: The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and analyzing diagnostic tests, including ambulatory ECG, exercise tolerance testing, and head-up tilt testing, and will report the findings to the medical team.
  • Cardiac Catheterisation: The candidate will be responsible for documenting haemodynamic monitoring and procedural records during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterisation procedures.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure excellent patient care and to contribute to the development of our cardiac physiology services.
  • Education and Training: The candidate will be responsible for providing technical and clinical advice to peers, juniors, and students, and will supervise and mentor junior colleagues to ensure high standards of performance.
  • Continuous Professional Development: The successful candidate will be expected to maintain their professional development and to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in cardiac physiology.
Requirements:
  • Education and Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent, and will have immediate life support certification.
  • Experience: The candidate will have significant experience in cardiac physiology, including diagnostic testing and reporting, and will have a strong understanding of cardiac pathologies, arrhythmias, and acute coronary syndromes.
  • Skills: The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
