SpaMedica is seeking a Field Service Promotion Specialist to enhance our outreach efforts in the North Merseyside region.

Role Overview:

This position primarily entails engaging with opticians, referral management centers, and general practitioners in their respective practices. The initial focus will be on establishing connections through outreach efforts and advocating for our NHS Wet AMD Medical Retina ophthalmology services. Collaborating with the territory Service Promotion Executive, who has already cultivated strong relationships with key stakeholders, will be essential to boost awareness of SpaMedica and expand our market presence in Cataract and YAG services.

A flexible approach to territory management is required, enabling the promotion of additional services across various regions as needed.

Responsibilities include organizing events and providing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training to Chief Operating Officers on Medical Retina topics to enhance the visibility of our Medical Retina services.

Engagement with Local Optical Committees (LOCs) and corporate partners will be crucial in promoting referral pathways and the services we offer in Medical Retina.

Key responsibilities also involve advocating for our services, hospital locations, patient advantages, referral processes, and new business developments. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating optometrist events and co-management initiatives.

This role is ideal for a proactive individual who enjoys networking, possesses the ability to capture attention, and is confident in engaging with senior professionals within the ophthalmic community and beyond. You will be responsible for managing your own schedule, meetings, and travel plans, as well as updating our administration system with details of meetings attended, visit outcomes, and new contacts.

Following up on all referrals is essential to ensure a seamless process, encouraging further referrals.

Flexibility and the ability to drive are critical, as you may need to explore new areas to promote our services as the organization continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing referrers.
  • Plan routes and travel within the designated area.
  • Promote all facets of the SpaMedica service.
  • Maintain our internal administration system.
  • Serve as the primary contact for new and existing referrers, addressing inquiries and concerns as necessary.
  • Participate in and promote events, open evenings, and presentations, including conferences and exhibitions.
