Position Overview
We are seeking two part-time Patient Care Coordinators to join our welcoming team at The Beeches Medical Centre.
The practice operates Monday through Friday, with two distinct roles available:
Role 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday - Salary: £16,254.
Role 2: 1 PM on Monday, Thursday, and Friday - Salary: £15,956.
Both positions include a 30-minute paid lunch break.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to enroll in the NHS pension scheme.
Our practice is comprised of four female partners and a salaried GP. The Patient Care Coordinator role is essential in guiding patients to the appropriate services tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities
The Patient Care Coordinator will:
- Assist physicians by relaying vital information regarding our patient base.
- Manage incoming calls, ensuring accurate information is gathered and communicated.
- Process prescriptions and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Guide patients to local services as needed.
About Our Team
The administrative team includes a practice manager, an organizational manager, two administrative staff members, eight reception staff/care coordinators, and a secretary.
The clinical team comprises five GPs, one advanced nurse practitioner, two practice nurses, one nurse associate, and one GP assistant.
Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Patient Care Coordinator will:
- Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Direct patients to appropriate services as necessary.
- Schedule appointments via phone and in-person.
- Input data into patient records using the EMIS clinical system.
- Process repeat prescriptions after training.
- Assist with the opening and closing of the practice.
- Comply with health and safety protocols.
- Participate in training sessions as required.
- Restock supplies in clinical areas.
- Be adaptable to perform various administrative tasks as requested.
- Request time off in advance to facilitate efficient scheduling.
- Maintain respectful communication with all stakeholders.
This role is integral to the smooth operation of our practice, and all staff members are expected to be flexible in their duties to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
