Insurance Claims Processor/Handler
Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Insurance Claims Processor/Handler on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with operational teams to supply necessary data to external claims handlers as required.
- Coordinate with the fleet department regarding the expenses associated with own damage claims and update claims handlers accordingly, especially for non-fault claims where recovery of costs is applicable.
- Engage with insurance brokers concerning historical policies and claims.
- Work with operations to ensure thorough accident investigations are conducted and relevant footage is uploaded.
- Foster relationships with the Group's insurance broker, insurance providers, and claims management service providers, participating in regular review meetings as necessary.
- Partner with service providers to identify initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvements in claims costs.
- Ensure that best practice processes are implemented to effectively manage all insurance claims, providing timely management information and KPIs while identifying and executing continuous improvements to minimize costs.
- Assist with inputs into freight liability and property spreadsheets.
- Maintain the accuracy and currency of the Motor Insurance Database (MID) at all times.
- Support the organization in relation to all other insurance policies as needed.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in claims handling, particularly in motor personal injury claims.
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to various bespoke systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
