Job Title: Microsoft Platform Engineer

Job Summary:

The Microsoft Platform Engineer will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of Microsoft products, focusing on Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and other related components. This role will also provide additional support for other Microsoft products, such as Azure DevOps, CoPilot, and Viva.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the implementation, support, and transition of new capabilities and functionality within the Microsoft Platform Stack.
  • Maintain and provide support for all elements of the Microsoft platform, including Teams Telephony, SharePoint, OneDrive, CoPilot, and Viva.
  • Work with support vendors to resolve incidents and ensure timely resolutions, escalating as required.
  • Develop and evolve platform governance and processes to ensure smooth operation and consistency.
  • Provide support, training, and promote best practice on new and existing functionality within the platforms.
  • Ensure that all change and developments on the platform align with business, architecture, and security requirements.
  • Work in a DevOps environment, providing input to prioritization and working with the business to gather new requirements for the platform.
  • Use technical knowledge to contribute to the platform roadmap, identifying areas of focus and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Technical background with at least years of working experience with Microsoft, including SharePoint, Teams, and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Experience in the support, implementation, and development of new features in Microsoft, as well as experience with advanced tooling such as Defender and Compliance.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with the business, with the ability to listen, advise, and provide challenges and questions to find the correct resolution.
  • Ability to assess requirements, visualize solutions, and see through to resolution, working with relevant stakeholders.
  • Strong technical understanding of the evolving Microsoft SaaS landscape and ability to demonstrate and articulate change.
  • Experience of working with tools such as ShareGate to perform data migrations and platform housekeeping.
  • ITIL Qualification required.

Working with LRQA:

The successful candidate will work closely with the LRQA team to ensure the smooth operation of the Microsoft platform, providing support, training, and promoting best practice. This role will also contribute to the development of the platform roadmap, identifying areas of focus and improvement.
