Experienced Home Care Support Worker - City of Canterbury-Bankstown

Our Home Health program delivers in-home support services to our aged care customers to help them live independently, supported and empowered, within their own homes and communities.

We are currently recruiting Experienced Home Care Support Workers for the Chester Hill, Bass Hill, Yagoona, Regents Park, Bankstown, Villawood, Sefton, Chullora, Greenacre, Punchbowl, Lakemba, Roselands, Riverwood, Beverly Hills, Kingsgrove, Belfield, Campsie, Croydon Park, Canterbury, Earlwood, East Hills, Padstow, Revesby, Milperra, Panania, Narwee and surrounding areas.

What's On Offer:

  • Permanent Part time contracts available depending on your location and availability to work
  • Earn hourly rate of $31.56 per hour based on your experience plus 11.5% super
  • Travel Allowance of $0.92 per KM PLUS paid travel time
  • Stable roster & opportunity to work extra hours based on business needs

  • Become Cert III qualified in Individual Support (Aged Care) all fees paid (for eligible employees)

Your New Role:

  • Help at Home: such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation & assisted dressing
  • Transport: transportation to appointments, shopping and social outings
  • Personal Care: experienced staff assist customers with personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, help at mealtime & medication prompting
  • Client Awareness: building relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations with ongoing support and training
  • Safety Practices: adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe

Key Requirements:

  • Current Australian Driver's License and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a similar industry and/or a Certification in Care
  • Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday
  • All Australian Unity Employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with a minimum of 2 doses

  • Proficiency in an additional language such as Mandarin/Vietnamese/Spanish/Arabic/Lebanese/Greek is valued but not mandatory
