Lead Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Automation Engineer to join our team at Trant Engineering Limited. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of automation systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the selection and purchasing of equipment for automation projects
  • Develop and maintain control system documentation, including FDS, SDS, FAT, and SAT
  • Design and implement risk assessments, method statements, and site progress reports
  • Configure and program PLC, HMI, SCADA, and telemetry systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation projects on time and within budget

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an automation engineer with a strong background in electrical control systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience
