Strategist for Alternative Investments

PIMCO has developed a comprehensive and robust alternatives platform over the past 15 years, with over $145 billion in assets under management today. Our platform is built on a disciplined investment process and institutional infrastructure, supporting $1.8 trillion in total assets under management. We offer a diverse range of hedge fund, quantitative, alternative credit, private credit, and real estate strategies that leverage our core capabilities in credit, global macro, commodities, volatility, and real estate.
Main Focus/Position ResponsibilitiesThe Alternatives Strategist will play a key role in driving the further development of PIMCO's alternatives business and range of offerings. This will involve working closely with functional specialist groups across the firm to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of alternative investment strategies and private fund documentation, as well as strong presentation skills and the ability to navigate complex systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute distribution strategies for PIMCO's alternative investment strategies
- Partner with business leaders and investment teams to execute on distribution strategy
- Serve as a proxy for portfolio managers in speaking to clients and consultants about PIMCO's alternatives strategies
The successful candidate will have extensive professional experience in alternatives, with a majority of their experience spent in this field. They will have a strong track record of developing business and a deep understanding of alternative investment strategies and private fund documentation. Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as are the ability to navigate complex systems and work effectively in Excel.
