Cybersecurity Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic cybersecurity team at esure Group. As a key member of our DevSecOps team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our information systems and networks from security breaches and cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Security Integrations: Manage security integrations across Esure, ensuring seamless integration of security tools and technologies.
- Security Initiatives: Support security initiatives, incident response, and resolution across esure, driving continuous improvements and conducting detailed security assessments.
- IT Operations: Assist in maintaining and supporting IT operations, business-as-usual activities, and ongoing projects, ensuring robust security operations.
- Agile Environment: Contribute within an Agile environment, using tools like Jira and Jira Service Management, to drive security and IT operations.
- Network Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including run books and diagrams, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor network infrastructure and cloud environments (PRTG, SNMP, Prometheus) to ensure robust security operations and identify potential security threats.
- Automation and Scripting: Improve automation through scripting and infrastructure management using AWS, Azure, OCI, Python, and Terraform, to optimize security tools and processes.
- Security Tool Integration: Write and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, and other languages to integrate and optimize security tools, ensuring seamless security operations.
- Business Continuity: Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery efforts, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Security Awareness: Deliver training and education programs to raise information security awareness and promote standard processes across the organisation.
- Passion for Learning: Continual passion to learn and inspire, with a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies and trends.
- Cloud Security: Ability to learn / upskill on cloud networking and cloud security technologies, with a basic understanding of cloud security principles.
- Documentation and Communication: Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate security-related information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Security Experience: Basic understanding of security in an enterprise setting, with past experiences of security automation including roles like security engineering and security operations.
