Job Title: Senior Facilities Management Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Facilities Management Coordinator to join our team at the NHS.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the control and organization of all Facilities departmental staff, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of facilities services to patients, staff, and visitors.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the work of Facilities departmental staff, ensuring compliance with national specifications for cleanliness in the NHS.
  • Work closely with other Facilities services teams, as well as clinical and non-clinical service colleagues, to ensure an integrated approach to achieving an effective service and high standard of patient care.
  • Take responsibility for risk management and health and safety in the workplace, reporting any issues to the line manager.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning and housekeeping standards, ensuring compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) outcomes, Environmental Health Regulations, and National Cleaning Service Specification.
  • Compile duty rosters for staff and arrange adequate cover throughout the shifts within agreed rotas in conjunction with the Facilities Team Leader.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring patients, staff, and visitors are courteously assisted and directed in a pleasant manner.
  • Provide regular reports to the Facilities Team Leader on aspects of the services as agreed.
  • Develop good working relationships with receivers of the service and respond to reports of any problems quickly, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Monitor the collection and transportation of waste in accordance with the requirements of the Trust's Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure all relevant Trust policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Respond immediately to the pager for circumstances/situations that arise throughout the Trust.
Requirements
  • Health & Safety qualification
  • Recognised Supervisory Qualification
  • Higher National Certificate, Vocational Qualification Level 4 or 5, Foundation Degree, or able to demonstrate knowledge within this field through practical experience
  • Cleaning and Hygiene Certificate
  • NVQ Level 2 or above
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in the use of mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment
  • Previous working within an NHS environment
  • Previous experience of training staff
Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as an individual and without direct supervision.
