Job Summary

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Equity Investment Risk Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our asset management team, you will be responsible for overseeing investment risk management for equity funds and supporting multi-asset funds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct In-Depth Risk Analysis: You will conduct detailed analysis of investment portfolios and collaborate with portfolio managers to address potential issues.
  • Critically Assess Investment Risks: You will critically assess a range of investment risks, gather and analyze data, and produce accurate risk analytics.
  • Develop Financial Market Knowledge: You will develop knowledge of financial markets and investment themes.
  • Contribute to Global Risk Management Initiatives: You will contribute to global risk management initiatives and enhance regional risk governance.
  • Support Team Members: You will support team members by teaching technical skills and business acumen.
  • Present Clear Analysis: You will present clear and insightful analysis to senior leaders and traders.
  • Lead Special Projects: You will lead and participate in special projects.
Qualifications
  • Degree or Equivalent Experience: You must have a degree or equivalent experience; advanced degrees or certifications (CFA, FRM) are preferred.
  • Investment Risk Experience: You must have experience in an investment risk role, ideally equities.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: You must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Investment Management Knowledge: You must have knowledge of investment management, particularly in equity and multi-asset funds.
  • Programming Skills: You must have demonstrable experience with programming languages (Python, R), and experience with platforms such as BarraOne and Axioma is preferred.
  • Project Management: You must be able to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
