About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Accommodation team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Facilities Department, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our hospital accommodation and associated buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all communal areas, including lounges, kitchens, stairs, and hallways.
- Ensure the cleanliness of sanitary fixtures, fittings, and surrounds, including baths, basins, toilets, urinals, showers, sinks, and wash hand basins.
- Clean and maintain cookers, freezers, and fridges.
Person Specification
Essential
- Ability to understand verbal and written communication and demonstrate good command of spoken English.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field.
- Experience in customer service and literacy and numeracy skills.
- Team player with the confidence and ability to work independently.
- Ability to carry out the full range of physical requirements for this role.
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
