Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Supervisor to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of domestic staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality domestic services to our patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities

  • To supervise and manage a team of domestic staff, ensuring the delivery of domestic services in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • To communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of domestic services meets the needs of the Trust.
  • To manage and maintain accurate records of domestic services, including reporting any issues or concerns to the Assistant Domestics Manager.
  • To provide leadership and guidance to the domestic team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • NVQ 3 in a management discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience of supervising a multi-disciplined work force.
  • Ability to assess how to safely transport hospital equipment and utilise appropriate manual handling techniques.
  • Ability to prioritise work and understand rotas.
