Job Title: Accommodation Domestic

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279) is looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Accommodation Domestic. Job Summary:

The Accommodation Domestic will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hospital accommodation and associated buildings. This involves cleaning sanitary fixtures, fittings, and surrounds, as well as communal areas such as lounges, kitchens, stairs, and hallways.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Cleaning of sanitary fixtures, fittings, and surrounds, including baths, basins, toilets, urinals, showers, sinks, and wash hand basins.
  2. Cleaning of all communal areas, including lounges, kitchens, stairs, and hallways.
  3. Cleaning of cookers, freezers, and fridges.
Requirements:
  • Ability to understand verbal and written communication and demonstrate good command of spoken English.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Experience in customer service and ability to work with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Team player with the confidence and ability to work on own.
  • Ability to carry out the full range of physical requirements for this role.
