About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Public Health Staff Nurse to join our team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a Public Health Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and working with children, young people, and families to achieve best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme under the indirect supervision of a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN).
  • Undertake routine home visits and monitor and evaluate care.
  • Work with the child, family, and specialist services to assess needs and plan specific care.
  • Support the 0-19 Team to meet the safeguarding needs of children and families, working according to safeguarding guidelines as defined by local and national policy.
  • Promote the health of looked after children, including completion of review health assessments.
  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of therapeutic programmes to empower individuals to make informed choices.

Person Specification
  • Post-registration experience of working with children and/or adults.
  • Evidence of multi-disciplinary team working.
  • Essential qualifications: Registered Nurse (RGN, RSCN, RMN, RDN) and current registration with the NMC.
