About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at GKN Aerospace. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) concepts and trade studies using CatiaV5. You will work closely with our customers to assess and incorporate design changes into existing Design Data Sets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop EWIS concepts and trade studies using CatiaV5
- Collaborate with customers to assess and incorporate design changes into existing Design Data Sets
- Represent Fokker Elmo in integration meetings with customers
- Assess the impact of Change Requests to the EWIS Design Data Sets
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in a technical discipline (BEng), preferably Aerospace Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in EWIS Installation Design
- Experience in 3D modelling of Electrical Wire Harnesses using CatiaV5
- Ability to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- GKN Aerospace experience
- Familiarity with Airworthiness Regulations and DOA (Part 21J) principles
- Experience with design tools CatiaV5 (electrical workbench) and Enovia
