Morgan Hunt is currently seeking a Senior Financial Business Advisor to join a prominent homelessness charity on a full-time permanent basis.
This role offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000 per annum.
The Senior Financial Business Advisor will provide exceptional financial expertise, working closely with the Head of Finance and other senior stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Business Advisor:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, analyze variances, and ensure robust budgetary control in collaboration with budget holders.
- Develop and manage consolidated budgets, create financial forecasts, and evaluate actual performance against set targets.
- Construct financial models, offer insights on new business ventures, and guide budget holders through financial decision-making processes.
- Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial managers, empowering them to effectively manage their budgets.
- Mentor the management accountant on reporting frameworks, collaborate with team members, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Candidate Profile for the Senior Financial Business Advisor:
- Possess a relevant degree or professional qualification from recognized accounting bodies (e.g., CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Demonstrate experience in business partnering within a similar environment, showcasing strong stakeholder relationship-building skills.
- Exhibit proficiency in financial planning and analysis for budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Understand risk management and utilize financial and business intelligence for effective risk mitigation.
- Show a curious mindset, capable of identifying and addressing risks while proposing practical solutions within the business context.
- Communicate effectively across various levels of stakeholders.
- Thrive under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods.
- Display confidence in independent work while also being collaborative and proactive.
- Salary of £50,000
- 35 hours per week
