We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team at HMP Werrington, a young offender institution in Staffordshire. As a Podiatrist in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with complex and chronic presentations.
The ideal candidate will be HCPC registered with post-registration experience assessing and treating a range of conditions, including diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies, and nail surgery. You will also be self-motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based care to patients, listening to their feedback and acting on it to ensure personalized care.
- Deliver non-judgmental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
- Inspire excellence in your colleagues by being proactive in the management of foot, ankle, and lower extremity conditions.
- Promote best practice, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement.
- Share knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure safe care and support your colleagues.
- HCPC registration with post-registration experience assessing and treating MSK conditions in an outpatient setting.
As a Podiatrist working with Practice Plus Group, you will be part of a forward-thinking, innovative healthcare team delivering high-quality, best practice treatment. You will also form part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team, comprising physiotherapists and podiatrists working in 33 prisons across the country.
You will be closely supported and mentored by our Team Lead Podiatrist, and this combined with our well-developed appraisal system, in-service training, and funding for external clinical courses, you will be provided with an excellent supportive learning environment.
