Project Overview
CoLab has taken on the role of Programme Manager for Wellbeing Exeter and Cranbrook, while also hosting the Community Connector and Coordination team for the initiative. We are currently in search of two dedicated Community Connectors to enhance our team.

We are looking for individuals who embody our values of inclusivity, empathy, and teamwork. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse individuals in a warm, professional, and approachable manner.

Position Overview & Key Duties

Community Connector - Community Focused
The role involves working directly within the community, collaborating with WBEC Community Builders and Physical Activity Organisers throughout Exeter. Responsibilities include managing new referrals, identifying community settings where a Connector's involvement can be advantageous, and fostering partnerships with CoLab collaborators. This position also entails managing a case load, providing one-on-one support, and adopting a person-centred approach to connect individuals with resources that enhance their overall wellbeing.

Community Connector - Initial Engagement Role
This position requires a Community Connector to warmly welcome new referrals via phone to Wellbeing Exeter and Cranbrook. Key tasks include overseeing the referral process, entering data into Charity Log, assessing the needs of referred individuals, and directing them to appropriate services. Additionally, the role involves regularly updating information on local services and activities, nurturing relationships with referrers and service providers, and maintaining the WBEC live directory of resources. This role also includes managing a small case load, offering personalized support, and connecting individuals to essential services that promote their wellbeing.
