The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a commercial finance background, able to lead the high-performing Finance team and work closely with the Finance Director.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Management Accountants and wider team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and career development.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals for direct reports, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for improvement.
  • Prepare and present company budget meetings, ensuring timely delivery of annual budgets to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement product and customer profitability analysis, providing insights to directors and key stakeholders using business intelligence tools.
  • Drive automation efforts with a multi-disciplinary team, streamlining efficiencies and achieving a paperless environment.
  • Oversee the Management Accountant to ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly reports.
  • Support the three-year forecast model, providing regular updates and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Deliver thorough and clear analysis of cost vs budget to non-finance managers, enabling informed decision-making.

  • Commercial finance background with a strong understanding of business operations.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with a proven track record of success.
  • Team-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with construction industry experience highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using business intelligence and Oracle-based reporting systems.
