Job Title: Logistics Shipping Accounts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Shipping Accounts Manager to join our team at House of Fashion Associates Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and controls of shipping for the organisation, ensuring compliance with all UK import regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and calculate the final cost for imported goods and local purchases
  • Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
  • Liaise with freight agents and courier companies for quotes, queries and issues relating to the movement of shipments
  • Obtain and compare quotes to ensure the best service level and competitive rates are achieved
  • Correctly classify goods and apply correct customs procedure codes on consignments
  • Maintain HMRC records
  • Generation of all shipping documentation ensuring that rules and regulations are adhered to and followed
  • Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery is achieved
  • Keep records and systems used up to date
  • Liaise with internal departments to keep good control of goods and services for shipment
  • Keep up to date with customs control regimes
  • Check shipping invoices received are correct for payment
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Coding, batching and matching of invoices to ensure financial reporting completeness
  • Ad hoc duties to support the department/business
Requirements:
  • Response time to suppliers and internal business partners
  • Percentage of shipping deadlines met
  • Accuracy of costing sheets

This is a full-time salaried role working days Mon-Fri 38.75 hours per week. The working week can be flexible, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Staff discount after one month's service - 20%. Holidays 28 days per annum including bank holidays.
